The gardens at Henry Law Park are once again brimming with colorful flowers thanks to the Dover Rotary. One of the club’s signature projects has continued over the decades to brighten the city’s central location for family outings, music and food festivals, children’s entertainment, and leisurely strolls in all seasons.
The club funded over $3,000 in flowers and updates to the garden structure this year. “We are grateful to all who donated and discounted services to bring this project, once again, to fruition,” said Harry Cheney, 2024-25 President of the Dover, NH Rotary.
Local plumber Dennis Munson donated his time and talent to repair the water valve and Mike Wilson Monument Restoration donated the cleaning of the granite markers. Sundance Sign painted the sign in between raindrops; Wentworth Greenhouse discounted annuals plants and Jenny Stewart of The Secret Gardener designed the layout of the gardens and discounted perennials.
The club also thanks Austin Lincoln Landscaping and Bob Sherwood for reinstalling 5 yards of soil and Dover Community Services staff for clearing out the old soil and dropping off mulch. And a special thanks to Rotarian Beth Fischer for her coordination of this year's garden renovation.
