THE FOUR WAY TEST

Of the things we think, say or do:

1. Is it the TRUTH?

2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?

3. Will it build GOODWILL & BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?

4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

THE OBJECT OF ROTARY

Is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:

1. The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service

2. High ethical standards in business and professions; the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations; and the dignifying of each Rotarian's occupation as an opportunity to serve society.

The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian's personal, business and community life.

Foundation Minute: (Nancy B)

The Share fund is the primary source of funding for Foundation Programs. It is also the only annual fund designation that generates funding for the District Designated Fund, which is used for the activities they choose to participate in. At the end of each Rotary year, 50% of each district's contributions is credited to its district designated fund.

The system is called "Share" because:

  1. Rotarians share their resources with fellow Rotarians around the world.
  2. The Trustees share their decision making responsibility with the districts
  3. Rotarians share Rotary with the world through their foundation
