The Rotary Club of Dover, NH has served the Dover community for over 100 years, beginning with donations from local businesses to establish scholarships and fund city developments. Over the years we have extended our commitments to enhance the library, encourage literacy through dictionary donations, provide snacks for hungry school kids, warmth for the unsheltered, meals for the food insecure and shoes and boots for kids from families unable to afford them.

We have created a unique city center with the construction of the Rotary Pavilion and Rotary gardens, supported other city parks including the skatepark and recently began offering grants vocational students to propel them in their new careers. We are proud of our contributions that have touched so many lives in both small and profound ways.

So why are we asking for donations?

About 30 years ago we turned to Bingo as our club’s primary fundraising resource after years of minimal income from holiday tree sales, auctions and short term fundraisers. Our association with Bingo, thanks to hardworking Rotarians, extended our ability to provide more, do more and serve more. Despite various moves, a pandemic and some tough years, Bingo continues to be an important funding mechanism. However, fluctuations in profits and an always uncertain future turned our attention to other funding possibilities, especially as the need for funding programs, such as our Milk & Egg Fund, has increased every year.

Our Ask

We now ask our community, the people who care deeply about the projects and causes we support to consider a donation to the Rotary Club of Dover, NH. Help us protect and extend our commitment to the people we serve.

Thanks to past donors and the volunteer efforts of committed Rotarians, our club has truly made a difference – just ask a Dover third grader who proudly signs their name to a new dictionary, a high school grad who can buy tools for their new trade, or a mom who can give her hungry kids a glass of milk and scrambled eggs for breakfast.
